Assistant to the Director of Property Management
RK Properties is a national real estate investment firm based in Long Beach California, established in 1976 with a long and glorious record in the multi family business. We own and operate large Class A institutional grade multi family properties where the average size is 274 units in multiple states on both coasts. Almost all of our properties are less than 5 . This position reports to the Director of Property Management and is based in Long Beach, but it requires travel to the various properties as most of our properties are currently in the south east part of the U.S.
The successful candidate will have a a 4 year college degree and a minimum of 10 years experience in institutional type multifamily. This candidate will have been an onsite manager, senior manager, or ideally a regional manager. Strong knowledge of Yardi is essential along with top tier operations and organizational skills. This includes financial overview of all properties with the accounting team, property managers, being versed in Microsoft Office. The position requires knowledge in all aspects of multi family property management. Requires decision making at a high level regarding various issues that affect the operations of each property, such as tenant and building matters. Must live within 10 miles of our office in Long Beach or be willing to relocate. Full benefits and compensation package equal to the position.

Responsibilities:- Assist in overseeing properties in the south east region- Develop and implement property management strategies and procedures- Coordinate and supervise property maintenance, repairs, and renovations- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner- Assist in managing lease agreements, including renewals, terminations, and rent collection- Maintain accurate records of property-related documents, including leases, contracts, and insurance policies- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality work and cost-effective solutions
Experience:- Minimum of 10 years of experience in multifamily communities of institutional quality and size- Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and regulations- Proficient in file management, data entry, and office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Yardi)- Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail- Ability to transcribe information accurately and efficiently

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
