Financial Systems Analyst I

Team:
The Accounting team at Relativity is responsible for the financial integrity of the entire organization. Our functions include general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting and business data strategy, audit, tax and compliance, accounts receivable, credit, and cost accounting. Collecting and maintaining the business's financial activities in accordance with US GAAP, enables us to provide accurate and timely financial reports as well as automated dashboards for strategic planning and decision-making purposes to management, investors, and other stakeholders. This empowers the company to make smart business decisions as we pave the way to a multiplanetary future.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to anticipate financial system needs, develop requirements, propose business process improvements and, if required, plan and execute solution.
- Align financial systems to the reporting and control requirements of the business.
- Administer our financial systems including Amazon Business, expense and travel platforms, and the financial module of ERP.
- Understand Accounting and Finance teams' ERP problem areas and translate requirements to the EAS team to push solutions forward.
- Create documentation such as user stories, requirements, flowcharts, SOPs, and training.
- Be the gatekeeper of financial master data. Track, review, and implement adjustments to chart of accounts, mapping scheme, transaction types, dimensions, etc.
- Analyze financial data to uncover issues in data integrity and identify root cause.
- Document and troubleshoot system errors and escalate with internal or external support as needed.
- Coordinate with Accounting teams to standardize and maintain SOPs for completeness and accuracy.
- As necessary, retrieve and review ITGC documentation required for audit purposes including, but not limited to, user access documentation.
- Partner with IT org to standardize ERP role requisition and approval process that meet audit requirements.
- Test DEM roles in our ERP to ensure proper access and flag potential SOD risks.
- Assist with ad hoc duties and special projects, as needed.
What you need to know:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of ERP experience supporting or working in an Accounting/Finance function.
- Experience in GAAP accounting.
- Understand financial statements and double entry accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Nice to have but not required:
- Infor LN experience is a plus!
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries
- Experience querying ERP data
