Base pay range: $250,000.00 / yr - $290,000.00 / yr
We are seeking a COO / CFO to be a core member of the executive team responsible for the day-to-day execution of the business. You will lead and integrate key internal functions including People & HR, Finance, and Operations. You will oversee the company's financial health and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a collaborative mindset, and a deep understanding of finance and accounting. This role is in-office 45 days per week and suited for a hands-on leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments with a balance of strategic oversight and tactical execution.
Role Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership
- Own and manage all aspects of the Finance and Corporate functions
- Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of strategic plans, business development plans, and actions taken
- Provide periodic reporting and narrative to internal stakeholders and quarterly or external stakeholders
- Build and evolve systems and processes needed for scale
- Oversee legal, regulatory, and risk management frameworks
- Finance & Resource Planning
- Partner with CSO on forecasting, financial planning, and operational reporting
- Ensure financial operations support company goals, including budgeting, spend management, and vendor oversight
- Build dashboards and reporting tools for performance tracking and decision-making
- People & Culture
- Oversee HR, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and culture
- Drive org design and workforce planning to align with strategy
- Foster a high-performance, values-driven culture as the company scales
- Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Strategic Execution
- Translate long-term goals into operational plans with KPIs and milestones
- Partner with the CEO on quarterly OKRs and company planning
- Coordinate cross-functional alignment between Product and Commercial teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in operations, strategy, finance, or management
- Success in a senior leadership role at a high-growth startup (Series AC)
- Strong financial fluency and analytical skills
- Understanding of consumer tech, fintech, or regulated industries
- Experience scaling operations, leading change, and building infrastructure
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Collaborative leadership style capable of influencing across functions
- Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous, and mission-driven environments
- Background in embedded finance, insurtech, wellness, or data-driven consumer engagement
- Experience managing HR, Finance, and Operations concurrently
- Familiarity with BI tools, e-commerce platforms, and Sage Intacct
