Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable data pipelines and databases to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and downstream business use cases.

• Develop, optimize, and manage data models and databases using PL/SQL to ensure data accuracy and performance.

• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration solutions on Google Cloud data engineering platforms.

• Ensure data quality, reliability, and integrity through validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes.

• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and application teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.

• Support performance tuning, documentation, and best practices for enterprise data engineering solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or related roles.

• Strong expertise in Google Data Engineering technologies, including building and managing cloud‑based data pipelines.

• Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL for data modeling, query optimization, and database performance management.

Pay Details: $60.00 to $64.00 per hour
