Physical Therapist Job Details

• Job Title: Locum Tenens Physical Therapist – Hospital Setting
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract (Locum Tenens)
• Location: Oakland, CA 94621 (California healthcare job)
• Start Date: September 9, 2025
• End Date: December 9, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,360 - $2,420
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with one weekend per month rotation
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
• Training: 3 full days (1 in-house, 2 in the field)
• Documentation System: Kinnser
• Equipment Provided: iPad, Verizon One Talk
• Reimbursements: Mileage ($0.655/mile), parking, and tolls

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) License
• Minimum 1 year of home health or hospital-based physical therapy experience
• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Conduct start of care visits and comprehensive physical therapy assessments
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs)
• Complete accurate clinical notes and documentation within 48 hours of patient visits
• Maintain timely communication with supervisors, intake, and office staff
• Respond promptly during standard business hours
• Meet productivity requirements (30 points per week)
• Participate in mandatory reporting and ongoing training sessions
