Contract Details:

• End Date: Perm
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Shift: Days (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM)
• Hours/Week: 40

Role Overview: As an LPCC, you’ll perform psychological assessments, deliver brief interventions using the primary care behavioral health model, and collaborate with primary care providers to develop treatment plans. You’ll also respond to crises, conduct suicide assessments, and ensure culturally appropriate care aligned with California laws and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and triage patients with mental health, physical health, and substance use concerns
• Provide brief, evidence-based behavioral health interventions
• Collaborate with PCPs and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
• Document thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Conduct crisis interventions and suicide risk assessments
• Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and quality assurance activities
• Supervise interns or unlicensed staff as needed
• Maintain community resource connections for continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years, with sensitivity to multicultural concerns and psychotherapeutic process; community mental health experience preferred
• Education: Master’s in Counseling or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Certifications: LPCC issued by the State of California
• Language: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

• Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and integrated care models
• Knowledge of behavioral medicine, SBIRT, and IMPACT models
• Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Culturally sensitive and respectful of diversity
