AI Product Owner

Job Responsibilities:

• Align and manage organization wide AI product development.
• Measure and communicate business value delivered through various AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with Mattel’s business units to understand their needs through ideation sessions, hackathons etc. and prioritize use cases to adopt AI technologies.
• Lead insight gathering, ideation, and development into newer AI-powered business models, and successfully champion them through senior management and cross-functional teams for approval and endorsement.
• Establish Responsible AI Principles and guardrails for Mattel by collaborating with Industry thought leaders and practitioners as well as internal Legal and security compliance teams.
• Work with Technology Leaders and teams to develop AI products and ensure adoption.
• Evangelize and educate internal teams to upskill on emerging AI technologies, industry trends etc through internal courses, masterclasses etc.
• • Develop and maintain relationships with leading AI practitioners, universities, and industry organizations.

Education/Experience:

• 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree.
• Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field/MBA/PhD preferred.
• Experience in building and scaling platforms and capabilities leveraging Generative and Agentic AI for Enterprises.
• Significant understanding of use of AI in business domain including ML fundamentals and familiarity with algorithm work.
• Proven leadership experience of developing products in a multidisciplinary cross-functional environment.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal).
