Veterinary Kennel Assistant

We are a newly opened clinic that focuses on primary care clinic serving canine and feline. We are looking for dedicated animal loving people to join our team here at AVMC. We have a great team here and need a few more members to help solidify our core staffing. We are looking to add a few more kennel technicians, in-room nurses and experienced technicians/RVTs.
Our mission is to deliver outstanding health care to our furry patients and stellar customer service to their pet parents. We are in an expansionary phase and are seeking motivated self-starters with excellent clinical and customer service skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
We are seeking an experienced Animal Care Attendant to join our team but are willing to hire the right individual.The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients and the highest quality care to their beloved pets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning cages.
- Feeding and caring for dogs and cats.
- Walking dogs.
- Bathing dogs.
- Doing laundry.
- Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises.
- Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary.
Record keeping : Write patient medical history; review and maintain accurate patient records in our computer database; maintain patient confidentiality. Clinic maintenance and upkeep : Ensure cleanliness of all hospital areas including restrooms and break areas, preparation of surgical instruments including autoclaving; ensure work stations are properly stocked and clean and disinfect work spaces as needed throughout the day.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfort with handling of pets of varying temperments
- Experience working in client-facing role(s)
- The ability to multi-task and stay focused in a fast-paced environment

Kennel Assistant Experience: 1 year preffered (not required)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
