Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

We're currently looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test with experience in Java programming, developing test applications, or automating using Selenium and TestNG to join our team in Redwood City, California.

Job Summary

You should have a strong working knowledge of Java programming, developing test applications, or automating with JUnit/TestNG/Selenium. Experience in QA, scripting, and SQL is also desired.

As a Senior SDET, you will be responsible for the following daily duties. You must be able to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment, with strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Technology You'll Use:

* Java, AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Chef, Selenium, ROBOT, Postman/Newman, Logic, JIRA, Microservices.

Day-to-day Duties:

• Collaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality releases of Informatica Cloud Products, providing technical leadership and cross-team coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers to enhance their technical skills.

* Participate in product reviews, test specifications, and documentation of Informatica Cloud products.

* Collaborate with engineers and architects to solve complex problems and deliver quality technology and customer experience.

* Work on testing upgrade/deployment pipelines.

* Develop and enhance UI, backend, and REST automation frameworks.

* Design, develop, and review test plans and cases based on specifications.

* Maintain test cases in JUnit/TestNG/Selenium.

* Conduct functional, system, stress, and regression testing; analyze and report results.

* Collaborate with developers to debug and resolve issues.

* Influence managers to ensure quality standards.

* Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

* Perform risk analysis early in the development cycle.

• Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years in software testing or development with Java.
• Strong SQL and RDBMS knowledge.
• Proficient in Unix/Windows and scripting languages.
• Experience with integration products/patterns is a plus.
• Proven experience with JUnit/TestNG/Selenium.
• Backend automation experience with Eclipse, Maven, Java, REST frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with JMeter.
• Experience with Docker, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, cloud logs (Sumologic, Splunk), and monitoring tools (AppDynamics, NewRelic).
