Assistant Controller
- Location: Irvine, CA – hybrid
- Compensation: $135,000-$160,000 plus bonus
- Assist the Controller in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
- Prepare and/or review journal entries, complex account reconciliations, and reporting schedules
- Support the Controller in the preparation, review and timely issuance of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Review preparation of quarterly and annual sales/use tax returns
- Assist with preparation for external and internal audits; coordinate supporting schedules and documentation
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, corporate and internal policies and internal controls
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years’ progressive accounting experience
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of U.S GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Active or inactive CPA required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with corporate ERP/accounting systems
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Excel (advanced level
