We work out of our legendary San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.

People Solutions Engineer - AI

Astranis is scaling rapidly, and our People Team is evolving to keep pace. We seek a versatile People Solutions Engineer who combines technical skills with operational expertise. This role involves building innovative, scalable, and automated solutions for critical People processes.

The ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn and a passion for enhancing the employee experience as we bring satellites to space and improve lives worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Execute and streamline key People Operations processes such as onboarding, learning & development, and employee engagement.
• Design and develop AI-powered workflows and automation infrastructure to optimize productivity across People systems.
• Create scalable integrations between various People systems (e.g., Paylocity, Greenhouse, Lattice, LMS).
• Maintain internal documentation, policies, training content, and resources.
• Act as a bridge between operational needs and technical solutions.
• Enhance platforms through coding to improve scale, speed, and accuracy.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in People Operations, technical operations, or a systems-focused role.
• Degree in HR, systems, or data-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing People systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS).
• Knowledge of curriculum development, learning program design, and training logistics.
• Data fluency in cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing workforce metrics.
• Strong communication and process-thinking skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Skills

• Experience building AI-driven tools or automation agents.
• Background in software development and People Operations.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools (Python, JSON, N8N).
• Familiarity with AI and LLM tools (OpenAI, MCP, vector search).
• Experience managing or supporting a Learning Management System at scale.

What We Offer

Base Salary: $110,000$130,000 USD

U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required for compliance with U.S. space technology export regulations.
