Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Blending professional for a direct hire opportunity in Livermore, CA within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing or production professional with experience in chemical, biological, or regulated production environments.

The Production Blending role supports critical production activities by accurately preparing, blending, and handling materials according to established procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Read work orders/formulas and Master Manufacturing Records to determine production specifications and information.

• Performs set-up, sanitation, operation and routine maintenance of blenders.

• Examine materials, ingredients, or product visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards.

• Add or mix raw materials for processing, using necessary blenders and steps according to product specifications and Master Manufacturing Records.

• Discharge blenders of powder when necessary.

• Record operational and production data on specified forms/production documents.

• Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment and hand tools.

• Clean product containers to prepare for blended product storing. Unload mixtures into containers for further processing.

• Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements.

• Make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides

• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of blended products to meet standards.

• Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear equipment jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.

• Conducts on-going assessment of quality control and operational procedures.

• Clean and sanitize equipment after and between runs, ensures blender(s) are sanitary at all times and reports any issues of sanitation to supervisor.

• Completes cleaning logs and notifies QC Tech to swab machine for hygiene testing per the Blender Cleaning SOP.

• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify problems or defects.
• Meet and/or exceed production goals and guidelines for the product being run.

- Pay range: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Location: Livermore, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform hands-on production blending and material preparation in a biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and document production materials according to established procedures.
- Support batch production, labeling, cleanliness, and quality documentation requirements.
- Maintain safe work practices and follow production schedules to support operational goals.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant production, blending, manufacturing, or laboratory support experience.
- Experience working with chemicals, biological materials, raw materials, or production ingredients preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures, batch records, and safety instructions with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based production environment.
- Comfortable performing hands-on work that may include standing, lifting, measuring, mixing, and using basic production equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to report issues, discrepancies, or process concerns promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing, or life sciences production.
- Familiarity with GMP, cGMP, SOPs, batch records, or other regulated manufacturing documentation.
- Experience using scales, mixers, tanks, pumps, or other blending and production equipment.
- Prior experience supporting quality, inventory, or warehouse teams in a production setting.
