Staff Services Management Auditor
Job Description and Duties
Under close supervision of the Staff Management Auditor, the Staff Services Management Auditor performs a full range of varied analytical staff work in investigations as well as compliance and management audit functions for the Department of State Hospitals (DSH). Audits and investigations require a high level of independence and a thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Staff Service Management Auditor will develop a knowledge base of, but will not be limited to, Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and indicators of fraud consistent with guidance provided by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and will follow the Mandatory Guidance of the International Professional Practices Framework (Red Book).

Working Conditions
- DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11-floor high rise building
- This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.
- Travel to DSH hospitals may be required (up to 25%) to gather evidence for audit assignments, conduct in-person interviews, and attend scheduled face to face meetings.
