Assistant Field Office Supervisor (Seasonal)

NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.

We are looking for a seasonal Assistant Field Office Supervisor to support the Field Office personnel functions to ensure effective daily operations of Field Department for Toma-Tek and San Benito. This leader will be responsible for coordinating with Production Management to ensure that all the tomato loads meet quality grade specifications at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA. This is a seasonal position, supporting our fresh pack season, typically June - October.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintains close communications with Field Office Managers and growers to coordinate and account for all incoming night harvest loads for Toma-Tek and San Benito.
• Maintains contact with field-harvest personnel and make necessary load schedule changes during night shift for Toma-Tek and San Benito.
• Maintains contact with TTK & SBF night trucking staff to ensure loads are received timely.
• Provides yard inventory daily for plant Production Management and information on tomato loads availability.
• Provides back-up support for Field Department Manager and ensures compliance with Field Department initiatives.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma or GED; associate's degree in business or related field preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
• 1-year experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 2 year's demonstrated supervisory experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows products e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

Compensation:

The hourly wage is $20 - $22, based on experience and qualifications.
