Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

The Record Security & Identification Unit (RSIU) is seeking candidates who are enthusiastic, highly motivated, and committed to providing quality customer service.

Under the direction of the Manager I, the Motor Vehicle Representative (MVR) will review and interpret driver license/identification records, verify information, and combine or de-combine driving records; work collaboratively with Investigations and other units within the department; respond to telephone and written inquiries from DMV field offices, headquarters units, the public, and law enforcement agencies; prepare corrections for the more complex driver license/identification records; sort and log all mailed and faxed documents.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
