Commercial Loan Processor
Job Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Loan Processor for a direct hire opportunity in Aliso Viejo, CA. This role is ideal for a driven mortgage lending professional who thrives in a fast-paced commercial, hard money, or real estate lending environment and enjoys managing loan files from commitment through closing. The Commercial Loan Processor will support a high-volume origination pipeline, coordinate with brokers, borrowers, escrow, title, insurance, appraisers, and internal lending teams, and help deliver a responsive, professional customer experience. Key Responsibilities - Manage a commercial mortgage loan pipeline with a focus on speed, accuracy, compliance, and exceptional broker and borrower service.- Lead daily origination meetings and provide clear updates on active deals, priorities, timelines, and potential closing obstacles.
- Issue loan commitments, borrower packages, disclosures, loan documents, and supporting documentation for completion and signature.
- Schedule borrower Zoom interviews and gather key information related to ability to repay, borrower background, and use of proceeds.
- Coordinate with title, escrow, insurance providers, appraisers, brokers, and internal teams to support timely loan closings.
- Track pipeline activity, maintain accurate data, document broker outreach, and support broker relationship management. Compensation and Benefits - Direct hire opportunity.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Process and close commercial mortgage loan files while supporting an annual origination volume target of approximately $100M.- Issue loan commitments quickly and prepare borrower loan packages, timelines, appraisal orders, preliminary title, and escrow requests.
- Close loans within aggressive timelines, including 7 to 10 business day closing expectations when documentation and conditions are complete.
- Maintain broker communication, follow-up activity, and pipeline documentation with accuracy and urgency. - Two or more years of mortgage lending experience, with commercial lending, hard money lending, processing, underwriting, compliance, or origination experience strongly relevant.
- Knowledge of loan documents, credit documents, insurance documents, hazard insurance, flood insurance, closing documents, legal documents, HUD-1 statements, promissory notes, deeds of trust, and assignments.
- Experience reviewing title and escrow documentation, including preliminary title reports and closing requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and 15 to 25 active loan files in a deadline-driven lending environment.
- Strong proficiency with data entry, PDF software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and mortgage industry software systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with brokers, borrowers, investors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and responsiveness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while demonstrating sound judgment, accountability, and professionalism.
- Understanding of compliance requirements, including business and investment purpose transactions versus consumer transactions. Preferred Qualifications - Existing relationships with mortgage loan brokers, escrow officers, title officers, appraisers, and other real estate lending professionals.
- Experience in hard money, private money, commercial real estate, bridge lending, or investor-purpose lending.
- Proven ability to improve workflows, remove bottlenecks, automate repetitive tasks, and support scalable lending operations.
- High-drive, service-oriented personality with confidence, persistence, decisiveness, emotional steadiness, and a positive professional presence.
