IT Software Engineer III

RMC is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our team. The Software Engineer III will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing software solutions to meet our clients' needs. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and will play a key role in troubleshooting and optimizing existing applications.
The successful candidate will:
- Design and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance software applications.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
- Write clean, modular, and reusable code with thorough documentation.
- Implement software testing strategies including unit testing and integration testing to ensure code quality.
- Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them into operations and activities.
**This position is contingent on contract award**
- Agile Developer Certification or Certified Scrum Developer Certification.
- Security+ Certificate
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on programming languages such as Linuz, Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with web application development technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL/NoSQL), version control systems (e.g., GIT), and cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- An active DoD Secret clearance.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $145,000 to $178,000 (annually).
