Contractor Work Model: Hybrid (Tuesdays, Thursdays in office)

Overview

Leading biotechnology company looking for an experienced Contract Associate. Ideal candidates should have experience with contract management, SAP/Ariba and Coupa/Spend Source platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end contract processes, including receiving, submitting, monitoring, and tracking a large volume of contracts from draft to final signatures
• Monitor and track requisition requests from submission through financial approval and PO creation
• Create and submit contract and requisition requests using SAP/Ariba and Coupa/Spend Source platforms
• Research vendors within systems to verify activity status; handle new vendor submissions and updates to existing suppliers
• Draft and route multiple contract types such as NDAs, Scopes of Work, and Change Orders for review and negotiation
• Act as a liaison between BioMarin, internal business partners, and external vendors to facilitate contract execution
• Build and maintain relationships within internal teams and engage with various functional areas to address contracting needs, obligations, and revisions
• Coordinate workflows between Business, Procurement, Finance, and Legal departments to ensure timely completion of tasks

Requirements

• Prior experience in contract management or related fields required
• Strong familiarity with SAP/Ariba and Coupa/Spend Source platforms
• Ability to navigate complex processes and systems with comfort in ambiguity
• Self-directed and proactive work style with troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail; excellent proofreading and editing skills
• Proficient in database management and document creation using Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Capable of managing heavy workloads, prioritizing tasks, and meeting aggressive deadlines under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service oriented, with effective communication with internal teams and external vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in contracts administration or relevant field
• Experience in large law firms or in-house legal departments of public companies
• Industry experience in biotech, pharma, or medical devices
• Familiarity with SpringCM platform
• Background in science is a plus
