Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Overview:
TP-Link Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing IT infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, automation, networking, and system administration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain network systems, including VLAN, LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, VPN and remote access technologies.
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, conduct regular testing, and troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Implement and maintain network security controls to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- System Administration: Install, configure, and manage servers, workstations, and software applications, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Technical Support: Provide senior level support to resolve hardware and software issues for employees.
- IT Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects, including software upgrades, system migrations, and new technology rollouts.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and procedures to ensure continuity and compliance with industry standards.
- Vendor Management: Work with third-party vendors to procure hardware, software, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance and optimize as needed to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Lead product/technology selection, including implementation of POCs
- Mentorship: Help train and mentor less senior members of the team.
- Ability to be part of on-call rotation and provide support after work hours and on weekends.
- Be fluid and open to change and evolving processes and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNP, AWS Advanced Networking, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in network engineer, network architecture, IT engineering, and administration.
- Expert in various routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS), network protocols (e.g.,TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, IDS/IPS)
- Programmatic experience (scripting, automation) for various daily tasks for automation and troubleshooting
- Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Exposure to cybersecurity tools and practices.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual skills in Mandarin and English are nice to have.

Salary range: $110,000-$170,000
