Mobile Farm and Ranch Mechanic

Are you a skilled and experienced mobile equipment mechanic looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a reliable and efficient mechanic to join our team and provide on-site repair services to farms and ranches in the Santa Ynez Valley

As a mobile equipment mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment, including tractors, swathers, skid steers, balers, and field implements. Our ideal candidate is a diesel engine mechanic with experience in agricultural implement repair. Experience with small engine equipment such as generators and mowers. Experience with hydraulic systems. Spanish speaking is a huge plus but not required.

We offer competitive pay, flexible hours, and a supportive work environment. A mobile work truck and all consumable materials and parts will be provided. Candidate will provide all necessary tools.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of light, medium and heavy duty equipment.
• Maintain your work schedule, keeping contact with your customers.
• Create repair orders and estimates for repairs.
• Accurately track time spent on jobs for billing purposes.
• Order parts and maintain inventory on the mobile service truck.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Ensure that all work is performed safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

• Diesel engine experience.
• Experience in implement repair.
• Minimum 3 years experience in mobile mechanical repair.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Provide all necessary tools to perform repairs.
