As an Analyst II you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain and oversee the end-to-end grant management system for the Technical Assistant Grant Program Agreements to ensure all records are accurate, complete, and fully in compliance with federal, state, and departmental requirements
  • Research, compile, and analyze complex data sets to interpret trends and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders
  • Develop, update, maintain an end-to-end grant workflow to ensure timely reporting and adherence to required procedures
  • Review, analyze, and maintain written procedures for grant management processes, identifying gaps or inefficiencies
  • Coordinate project setup activities and prepare Requests for Funds (RFFs) to support timely and accurate distribution of grant dollars
  • Evaluate and validate grantee reporting of receipts and expenditures, ensuring compliance with grant terms, allowable cost guidelines, and fiscal documentation standards

  • Ability to reason logically and creatively to resolve complex problems
  • Experience in presenting ideas verbally, graphically and in writing
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and cooperation of management and colleagues
  • Experience researching, analyzing, and interpreting data

Working Conditions

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month. For more details, please click here .

Special Requirements

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required for the hiring manager’s review. Applications submitted without an SOQ may be disqualified.

The SOQ should be a maximum of 2-pages, twelve (12) point Arial font.

Your SOQ should address the following:

1. Describe a specific instance where you proposed a new or innovative approach to a project you were assisting in developing. Please explain your methodology for securing leadership approval and how you managed the implementation of that change.

2. Describe a situation where you were tasked with researching and analyzing complex data to provide technical recommendations to management. How did you interpret your findings to align with project goals and support the decision-making process?
