Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000 plus benefits

Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to get a Top Secret clearance

Let's talk salary. The salary range for this position is $130,000 and goes up to $180,000, based on your experience and qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure.

You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work at a military site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior approval, but supporting the DoD, you will be required to work at a military site as well.

Still not convinced? We are looking for an experienced Navy Validator to join our security team as a Senior Security Engineer . We support a diverse range of Navy (and other DoD) projects and systems, as well as internally developed applications for the DoD, and more are being added frequently: cloud, communications, intelligence, warfare, and cyber warfare are examples of systems you may be supporting.

Security truly permeates all parts of our organization. As such, you will also leverage your knowledge (and have plentiful opportunities to expand your skillset) in many other ways as a cybersecurity subject matter expert, alongside cross-functional experts in Security, Systems, Software, and Cloud divisions. Between validation events, you will serve as the cybersecurity subject matter expert to ensure software applications developed by G2 Ops meet DoD/DON security requirements, mentor and train other Navy Validators at G2 Ops, and assist other security engineers (ISSEs and ISSOs) in performance of their duties.

What does this mean to you? We are seeking currently designated Navy Validators that are experienced in all aspects of Navy Validator operations. This includes toolset operation (ACAS, Evaluate-STIG, etc.), assessment procedures, reporting, and the like. Beyond compliance, we’re searching for a person that understands cyber beyond the ‘checklist’ level and that can work with stakeholders to create not just compliant systems but secure systems.

Because of the systems we work with, you will need an active SECRET clearance with the ability to get TOP SECRET DoD clearance . You will also need to meet Navy Validator certification requirements have an IAT II/III or IAM III certification.
