Overview
We're building the next generation of AI-powered development tools. Our CLI coding agent is designed to be a true collaborator for professional developers - one that understands complex codebases, learns from feedback, and delivers production-ready code.
As a Member of Technical Staff at OpenBlock Labs, you'll shape how developers interact with AI assistants. You'll design and build the systems that make our agent intuitive, reliable, and indispensable to engineering teams worldwide. Your work will directly impact how millions of developers write, review, and ship code.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the core CLI experience that defines how developers interact with our agent
- Build sophisticated context management systems that enable the agent to navigate and understand large codebases
- Develop interactive workflows for testing, debugging, and iterative refinement of generated code
- Create feedback systems that capture developer intent and improve agent performance over time
- Integrate seamlessly with existing developer tools and workflows
- Establish metrics and monitoring to measure real-world impact on developer productivity

Technical qualifications
- Strong experience building command-line interfaces and developer tools
- Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web technologies
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, state management, and real-time systems
- Familiarity with code analysis tools, ASTs, and language server protocols
- Experience with performance optimization and building for scale
- Track record of shipping high-quality software in production environments
