Position: Accounting & Audit Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50–$105/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: 1–2 months

Commitment: ~20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated accounting outputs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP , IFRS , and regulatory frameworks.
• Calibrate AI decision-making processes in tasks like journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Simulate and audit workflows related to the financial close process, consolidations, tax filings, and internal controls.
• Provide domain-specific feedback on AI-generated financial statements , disclosures, audit working papers, and management reports.
• Collaborate asynchronously with product and AI teams to refine systems based on accounting best practices and real-world scenarios.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2+ years of professional accounting experience at top-tier public accounting firms or Fortune 500 corporate finance/accounting departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field .
• Professional certifications such as CPA , CA , CMA , or ACCA .
• Strong technical accounting proficiency, including knowledge of GAAP , IFRS , and other relevant frameworks.
• Expertise in core accounting processes like financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in specialized areas such as forensic accounting, government accounting, nonprofit/fund accounting, or cross-border accounting.

Compensation & Legal

• Hourly Rate: Competitive and based on experience ($50–$105/hour )
• Performance Bonus: Top performers receive a weekly bonus incentive in the range of $20–$100/hour on top of their pay rate.
