Controller (Construction) POST NUMBER: 473155

Currently recruiting for a Controller at an exciting, growing construction company, based in Irvine. This position pays well, has great benefits, and reports directly to the CFO who would be a great mentor. Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee general accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, payroll, cost accounting)
  • Prepare and manage WIP schedule
  • Manage the bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Prepare/manage cash flow
  • Prepare financial statements and analyze for accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and review job cost reports
  • Managed fixed asset schedule
  • Assist with sales and use tax filings
  • Oversee AR and billings, as well as credit card program and reconciliation
  • Supervise accounting team
  • Develop and maintain financial controls
  • Work with project managers and senior management
Qualifications:
  • 7 years progressive accounting experience
  • Construction industry experience REQUIRED
  • Strong Excel
  • Experience with Sage Intact, Procore, Miter, Bill.com preferred!
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's in accounting or finance
  • Strong GAAP understanding
