This role is based in our office in San Francisco, CA and is required to be in-office 3 days per week.

Who You Are

Our Accounting team at Fellow is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the month-end close process for internal financial statements, key balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance needs. A successful candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and fundamentals associated with different functional areas of accounting. The role also requires someone detail-oriented with strong communication skills, ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment, and a positive can-do attitude.

What You’ll Do

• Support monthly accounting close process by preparing journal entries, overseeing bank reconciliation process, supporting key balance sheet reconciliations, and analyzing results to obtain full understanding of account activity to support month-end reported balances.


• Support oversight of AR/AP function by ensuring bills are entered timely and with proper classification and review AR aging to ensure timely reconciliation of customer accounts


• Support semi-monthly payroll process and related month-end accruals.


• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance processes for bank and tax compliance, VAT returns filing, and annual financial statement audit. Complete requested materials and assist in preparing assigned schedules.


• Work cross-functionally with other departments to address financial inquiries and provide support.


• Identify and contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting team.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in accounting, Big 4 experience preferred


• MS in Accounting and/or CPA preferred


• Solid understanding of GAAP and knowledge of accounting fundamentals related to key areas such as inventory, accruals, accounts receivable


• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills


• Attention to detail and accuracy


• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet key reporting and compliance deadlines


• Ability to communicate internally with accounting team and cross-functionally to discuss and contribute to process improvement efforts

Salary Range: $89,000 - $98,000
