Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU, including ongoing assessments, monitoring of vital signs, and care planning.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, manage IV access, and support respiratory devices as appropriate to the scope.
- Monitor growth and nutrition, manage tube feeds, document intake/output, and track clinical progress.
- Collaborate with the neonatal care team (neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapy, lactation consultants, social workers) and educate families on care plans.
- Ensure infection control practices, maintain NICU equipment (monitors, incubators, infusion pumps), and adhere to unit policies.
- Prepare and participate in shift handoffs, document accurately in the medical record, and communicate changes promptly to the care team.

Requirements
- Current California RN license (active)
- BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years NICU experience; Level 3 experience minimum; recent NICU experience within the last 3 months
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work a 3x12 night schedule and accommodate rotating days as needed
- Demonstrated ability to work in a NICU setting with appropriate clinical judgment and teamwork
