Parts Inventory Coordinator

THIS IS A TEMPORARY-TO-PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY
The Part Inventory Coordinator is responsible of supporting a smooth and efficient operation of the Maintenance Department and may perform a variety of duties including the operation of the maintenance storeroom, parts identification and location, support documentation, coordination with local vendors, work order systems, parts purchasing, tracking inventory levels and other related duties.
Parts Inventory Coordinator Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Must know and follow all Safety Requirements, Departmental, and Plant Wide.
- Must be able to maintain departmental 5-S for assigned areas and equipment.
- Must be able to complete required departmental paperwork.
- Have general knowledge of computer software and maintenance work order systems.
- Working knowledge Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel software preferred.
- Working knowledge of Industrial Maintenance and Plant Operations
- Identifying, locating, and issuing parts to maintenance technicians from the maintenance storeroom.
- Coordinates with vendors and freight carriers in scheduling incoming parts, dies, and equipment and tracks shipments, and keeps manager informed of status.
- Knowledge and Understanding of the work order process and Fixx CMMS system and inputting of parts and work orders into this or a similar system.
- Identifies inventory items at the point of issue that may require reordering based on system requirements.
- Makes pick-ups of parts or materials when necessary.
- Input data and print purchase orders and match documentation and process to Procurement or Accounting.
- Receive and identify incoming parts, place them in the correct locations and track all documentation.
- Inspects deliveries for shortages and damage and reports any problems.
- Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
- Weekly cycle counts
- Monthly inventory
- Security of inventory
- Tracking of inventory
- Work with purchasing to reorder parts based on inventory minimums and quantity to reorder
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Full PPE equipment required for work inside plant
- High School Education or GED
- Ability to work independently in absence of supervision
- Ability to operate computers, related software, and office machines
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work any shift when necessary
- Ability to work overtime and weekends with limited notice when necessary
- Knowledge of machinery parts preferred
- Spanish a plus
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations
- Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the plant
Special Note: The work environment for this position is a large, well established, and very active plant. To be considered for this position, Candidates must have at least two (2) years of experience managing parts inventory in a manufacturing plant environment.
Workdays, Shifts, and Starting Pay:
- Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekend availability as needed.
- Pay starts at $22.00 Per Hour DOE
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
