About the Role:
The QC Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves conducting detailed inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to identify defects or deviations from specifications. The QC Inspector collaborates closely with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence. By maintaining accurate documentation and reporting, the inspector supports continuous improvement initiatives and helps uphold the company’s reputation for excellence. Ultimately, this role ensures that only products meeting the highest quality criteria reach customers, thereby safeguarding customer satisfaction and company success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and measurement tools.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and product specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and quality documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Quality Control or related fields (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in using digital measurement instruments and quality management software.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of materials and products at various stages of the manufacturing process.
- Utilize measurement tools and testing equipment to verify product specifications and tolerances.
- Document inspection results accurately and report any non-conformances or quality issues to the quality control manager.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety regulations, and industry guidelines during all inspection activities.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration is up to date to guarantee measurement accuracy.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in external quality audits as required.
