General Manager
Holbox is seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven General Manager to lead daily operations at one of Los Angeles’ most acclaimed restaurants.
Located inside Mercado La Paloma in South LA, Holbox is a super casual Michelin-starred Mexican seafood restaurant focused on regional Mexican cuisine, sustainable seafood, and warm, genuine hospitality. We are looking for a leader who can help maintain and elevate the standards that have made Holbox nationally recognized while continuing to foster a positive and professional work environment.

Oversee all daily FOH operations and service execution
Lead and develop FOH management and hourly staff
Maintain exceptional guest experience and hospitality standards
Collaborate closely with ownership, admin team and culinary leadership
Manage scheduling, labor controls, payroll oversight, and staffing
Ensure operational efficiency and strong communication between FOH and BOH
Handle guest relations and service recovery professionally
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and health department readiness
Assist with private events, collaborations, and special projects
Help build systems and processes that support long-term growth
Minimum 3 years experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Strong high-volume restaurant experience required, preferably in chef driven, high standard restaurants
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Strong floor presence and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure
Experience with scheduling, labor management, and restaurant systems/POS platforms
Passion for hospitality, food, and team culture
