We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Downey, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in optimizing payroll processes while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation and integration of Human Capital Management (HCM) software solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, finance teams, and other stakeholders to determine payroll system requirements and functionality.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot payroll processes within the new system to ensure seamless operation.
• Oversee data migration activities, including validation and reconciliation, to maintain accuracy and completeness.
• Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct sessions for payroll staff and system end-users.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and software vendors to address and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor compliance with payroll policies, regulations, and reporting standards, ensuring all processes meet legal requirements.
• Provide ongoing support post-implementation, including system updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting.• Proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and other accounting software.
• Hands-on experience with 401k and RRSP administration, as well as benefits management.
• Strong knowledge of payroll functions, auditing practices, and accounting principles.
• Demonstrated ability to configure, test, and troubleshoot payroll systems.
• Experience in developing and delivering training materials for staff and end-users.
• Familiarity with human capital management systems and data migration processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
