- Serve as the primary negotiator with insurance adjusters after demand is submitted
- Evaluate case value, liability, and damages to develop negotiation strategies
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies to maximize client recovery
- Review and analyze medical records, bills, and supporting documentation
- Draft and revise demand packages and settlement communications as needed
- Handle counteroffers, strategy adjustments, and escalation of negotiations
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding settlement progress and expectations
- Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and staff on case strategy
- Maintain detailed records of negotiations, offers, and settlement outcomes
- Assist with high-value or complex cases and provide guidance to team members
- 2+ years of personal injury negotiation experience (required)
- Proven ability to negotiate directly with insurance companies
- Strong understanding of injury valuation, damages, and settlement strategy
- Experience handling high-volume or high-value cases
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
- Experience as a demand writer, case manager, or pre-litigation negotiator
- Background in personal injury law firm operations
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
- Spanish-speaking ability a plus
