Locum Nurse Practitioner - Hematology Oncology
Hematology & Oncology Physician
We are seeking a dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join a premier, physician-led medical group. This is a full-time opportunity to provide expert clinical care within a sophisticated ambulatory setting, supported by a robust clinical infrastructure and a multidisciplinary team.
Position Overview
- Schedule: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Patient Volume: 16–18 patients per day.
- Setting: Ambulatory care with access to a co-located infusion center and a 17-bed inpatient oncology unit.
- EMR: Cerner.
Clinical Responsibilities & Support
- Deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care from diagnosis through survivorship.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team , including nurse navigators, social workers, research coordinators, and genetic counselors.
- Participate in weekly tumor boards and daily multidisciplinary rounds.
- Utilize advanced clinical infrastructure, including a rapid diagnosis clinic, radiation centers, and clinical trials.
Requirements
- Education: Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program.
- Certification: Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology is highly preferred (Board Eligible candidates will be considered).
- Licensure: Active California Medical License is required.
- Credentials: Active DEA and clean malpractice/background history are required. BLS is preferred (can be processed during credentialing).
