Medical Assistant

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in medical procedures, excellent patient service skills, and experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. primary care and/or urology experience is a plus. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and other healthcare staff by handling clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient details by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
• Prepare patients for their healthcare appointments by guiding or accompanying them to the exam room.
• Ensure accurate documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Protect patient information and confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.
• Collect and process specimens for lab analysis. Assist physicians with procedures and set up as needed.
• Travel with the physician between our two offices in Fullerton and Yorba Linda, with paid travel time.
• Occasionally, help the front desk with scheduling, checking patients in and out.
• Arrange surgeries by coordinating with the surgical center or hospital, confirming times with patients, and preparing charts, pre-admission forms, and consent documents.

Qualifications:

• A valid Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program is essential.
• Prior urology experience is advantageous.
• Candidates must have experience with EHR systems and performing clinical tasks like taking vital signs and administering medications.
• Strong patient service skills, including effective and compassionate communication, are required.
• Efficient work in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
• Additionally, candidates should be detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of multitasking across different clinical settings.
