FOX Experience & Design (FED) is the internal brand engagement and experiential group, providing strategic ideas, planning, and production for events, design, and technology across all divisions of FOX Corporation, including FOX Entertainment, TUBI Media Group, FOX Sports, Ad Sales, News, Distribution, and FOX Corporate.
The Executive Director, Events is an experienced leader and high-level event producer, a foundational marketer responsible for establishing and scaling experiences and events functions. They are a strategically creative thinker, the definition of a team player, and a proven leader. They effectively communicate with Senior Executives; provide clear, concise, and actionable direction to their teammates and co-collaborators. This candidate is someone with a strong conference and hospitality background; expertise with travel, room blocks, manifests, and day-to-day production logistics in the US and internationally (as needed). This candidate looks beyond production, operations, and logistics to deliver elevated, meaningful engagements that build and maintain strong connections among consumers, clients, and internal stakeholders to the FOX family of brands. This role owns strategy, design, and delivery of high-impact premium experiences that bring the brand to life for B2B audiences.
Regular, on-site attendance at the workplace for a minimum of four (4) days per week is an essential function of the position. The selected candidate must be able to reliably meet this requirement.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and execute the events and experiences strategy, operating model, calendar, and governance across a broad scope of B2B events
- Build, mentor, and scale multidisciplinary teams across event strategy, production, operations, and experience design
- Lead internal, agency, production, and technology partners to deliver high-quality experiences at scale, including executive engagement, hospitality programs, conferences, corporate meetings, retreats, and special projects
- Lead strategic and creative event ideation. · Understand changing corporate initiatives and translate them into events that resonate
- Lead stakeholder conversation, presenting strategic plans that focus on business goals and deliver ROI
- Own budgets, timelines, and resource planning across the events portfolio
- Manage the full scope of event operations, timelines, and logistics, space planning, attendee journey, F&B, security, fabrication and build, event registration, large-scale and complex vehicle movements, and travel manifests for small and large events
- Manage and train junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment geared toward growth and potential
- Establish event metrics/KPIs with stakeholders to exceed goals and measure success
- Develop mutually beneficial partnerships that elevate events, offset costs, and positively impact the bottom line
- Negotiate contracts and vendor agreements through cross-collaboration with FOX legal and other necessary teams
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of hands-on and supervisory experience in Corporate Events, Conferences, and Experiential Marketing
- Ability to lead, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, and ever-changing environment while projecting grace under pressure and maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with C-Suite level executives as well as stakeholders from various business units
- Ability to effectively and efficiently delegate
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and occasionally globally
- Proficiency in the Google suite of services, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, basic database applications, and internet searches
