Sr. Business Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced candidate to join our dynamic team at Esri. In this role, you will bring a business-first mindset to every initiative, aligning execution with strategic goals. You will support essential business functions such as strategic negotiations with 3rd parties, business feasibility assessments, financial analysis, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, data interpretation skills, and cross-functional collaboration experience in a fast-paced technology environment.
Responsibilities- Partner with senior leaders across functions to lead complex third-party licensing negotiations, ensuring agreements align with business needs across Esri’s product suite
- Own third-party financial management, including annual budget planning, tracking, monitoring, cost forecasting, and analysis
- Lead regular business reviews to assess performance, risks, and opportunities, translating strategy into actionable plans and measurable results
- Evaluate third-party proposals and partnerships, assess risk and value, and negotiate terms that protect and advance Esri’s business interests
- Manage a large, concurrent portfolio of initiatives, maintaining strong organization, accountability, and delivery across competing priorities
- Influence, mentor, and partner across functions to ensure business readiness and successful delivery of business objectives
- Inform business strategy through feasibility analysis, trend and performance evaluation, contingency planning, and actionable insights
- 5+ years of experience in software, content, and IP licensing with a focus on business management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Information Science, GIS, or a related field
- Strong understanding of company products, services, and market position, along with the ability to analyze competitive dynamics to maintain business competitiveness
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and provide actionable business insights
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Willingness and ability to travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, events, and/or tradeshows

Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$82,160-$138,320 USD
