Employed Pediatric Anesthesiologist – Bakersfield, CA | Join a Growing Program

Coachella Valley Anesthesia, in partnership with Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, is launching a new pediatric anesthesia program and seeking a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to help establish and grow this important service line. This is a unique opportunity to shape a program from its foundation while joining a strong, well-supported anesthesia team within a rapidly expanding regional hospital.

Position Highlights

• Opportunity to help build and lead a new pediatric anesthesia service line
• Leadership and program development opportunities from day one
• Full pediatric case mix in a busy, growing hospital environment
• Collaborative MD/CRNA care model
• Dedicated specialty support teams including cardiac, OB, and regional anesthesia
• Strong administrative and clinical infrastructure supporting program launch and growth
• Employed position with long-term stability and organizational support

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary of $650,000
• 6 weeks of paid time off
• Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits
• Malpractice insurance provided
• Opportunity for additional income through participation in the general anesthesia schedule (optional)

Call Responsibilities

• One weekday of pediatric call per week
• One weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) of pediatric call per month
• Additional general anesthesia call opportunities available for physicians interested in increasing earnings, but participation is not required

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required
• Eligible for or active California medical licensure
