Direct Support Professional

The Direct Support Professional (Part Time) position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing hands-on training and support to individuals in a variety of work environments, including individual placements, janitorial, landscaping, and retail settings. This dynamic role involves spending part of the day in vocational training and the remainder in community-based activities and skill building. Tuesday and Friday: 9 am to 3:30 pm
Sunday: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Potential for additional hours

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to adults with disabilities to promote vocational growth and skill development.
• Assist with coordinating transportation to and from job sites for program participants.
• Maintain open and effective communication with the Supported Employment Supervisor and fellow Job Coaches.
• Ensure contract requirements are met by maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Accurately complete and submit required documentation, including transportation logs, attendance records, and incident reports, within established deadlines.
• Support participants in both vocational and community-based activities to foster independence and success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid California Driver’s License for at least 2 years. Driving is an essential function.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Current state-required auto insurance.
• Flexible schedule to meet program needs.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for adults with disabilities.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Compensation

The anticipated hiring salary for this position is $23.50 per hour, depending on experience, with a range of $23.50 to $25.50 per hour.
