Coordinator, Engineering Fleet

Role Summary
Rivian is looking for a Coordinator, Engineering Fleet to help manage our Engineering fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate has the ability to think quickly on their feet, complete appropriate documentation with excellent attention to detail, and improve processes. We are looking for someone who is goal-oriented with a drive to hit deadlines and strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate on-boarding/registration, shipment, charging, preparation, service/repair/maintenance, annual inspection, and retirement/disposal of vehicles throughout the lifecycle of the North American Engineering Fleet
- Maintain up-to-date records of vehicle activities, ownership stakes, location information, and other items of importance within the Engineering Fleet
- Coordinate vehicle moves with internal and 3rd party logistics providers to fulfil requests for assets at both Rivian locations and external testing facilities
- Manage daily and weekly schedules of Rivian’s internal vehicles to ensure assets are utilized efficiently and continue their scheduled activities as planned
- Perform utilization audits to ensure fleet size is in line with company needs
- Lead periodic physical inventory audits to maintain fleet compliance
- Act as escalated point of contact for needed support to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and operations readiness
- Manage insurance, claims, and ticketing administration
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in dispatching or vehicle coordination experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office, and ability to effectively navigate internal business platforms
- Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, etc.,) experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customers on nights, weekends and/or holidays; Ability and willingness to travel based on business needs to support other market launches and operations
- Adaptable to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on level of importance and urgency
- Ability to work autonomously and consistently with limited direction
- Willingness to work in various working conditions including being in a full service retail center or unpredictable weather conditions
- Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners
- Strong understanding of written and spoken English
- Ability to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics
- Minimum age of 21
- No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5 year period)
- No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years
- Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle
- Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring
Pay Disclosure
Salary range for California Based Applicants: $29.21/hour-32.45/hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
