Accounting Manager
- Owning and overseeing the month-end close process across multiple real estate entities
- Reviewing and approving journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Ensuring timely and accurate bank, loan, escrow, and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintaining a clean, well-documented general ledger in SoftLedger
- Overseeing rental and investment accounting, including data flows from AppFolio and other operational systems
- Preparing and reviewing lender and investor reporting, including loan compliance packages and property operating statements
- Partnering closely with the fractional controller (LLŪM) on accounting structure, close cadence, and controls
- Identifying process gaps and implementing improvements to support scale and efficiency
- Serving as the internal accounting lead and primary point of escalation for accounting matters
- Strong command of GAAP and balance-sheet-focused accounting
- Experience leading or overseeing month-end close in a multi-entity environment
- Comfort with accounting judgment, prioritization, and ambiguity
- Experience reviewing work and ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Strong Excel skills and experience with cloud-based accounting systems
- Real estate, investment, or construction accounting experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar role
- A hands-on leadership role with real accountability
- A strategic partner to leadership and external advisors
- A role with room to grow as the company scales
- Not a transactional or purely task-based accounting role
- Not a narrowly siloed accounting position
