SafetyWing is funding one persons next global adventure with up to $4,000 in reimbursements to help you on your journey as a digital nomad.

Whether you are a seasoned world explorer or someone who has always dreamt of far-off places, this could be your moment! The only requirement to apply is a deep desire to travel widely and live freely.

🌎 What’s in it for you:

What your US$4,000 reward could cover:

Reimbursed only — you must show proof of every expense.

• Flights to your chosen destination
• Accommodation for your first month
• Coworking pass or workspace setup
• Local transport, SIM card, and basic setup costs
• Skill-building or career growth
• Work tools/equipment needed to support your nomad adventure
• Visa fees or document renewals
• Any practical relocation cost directly tied to starting or upgrading your nomad life
• No cash is given directly
• We reimburse up to US$4,000 only for approved, proven costs. Anything above $4,000 and/or anything without proper receipts will not be reimbursed
• You must keep all receipts
• Everything must be tied to starting or sustaining your digital nomad life

📝 How to apply

Tell us your story!

Submit :

• A 1–2 minute long video to introduce yourself, and tell us why we should fund your adventure. Post the video to any of your socials (LinkedIn, Instagram or TikTok), tag us, and link it below. Don’t submit the application without linking to your video. Some things you might want to tell us:
• Why you’re excited about the The SafetyWing Digital Nomad Residency (required)
• What’s your “I need a new life” moment?
• Why are you drawn to the digital nomad lifestyle?
• What’s the funniest, weirdest, or most chaotic sign the universe gave you to apply?
• What version of you are you trying to unlock with this opportunity?
• What would winning this unlock that you can’t unlock alone right now?
• If your future self could send you one message, what would they say?
• Which part of your story makes you think: “Yeah… they should pick me”?
• Why do you think the world needs your story right now?
• What’s the most chaotic thing about you that secretly makes you a great nomad candidate?
• Answer a few written questions
• Tell us how you’d spend $4,000 towards your dream life

We are looking for someone who’s not afraid of getting vulnerable and sharing their story with the SafetyWing community and beyond. If you have always dreamt of sustaining a digital nomadic lifestyle, we want to hear from you!

Requirements

You should :

• Be 18+
• Be willing to share parts of your journey (photos, reflections, updates)
• Be comfortable being featured in SafetyWing content (social, blog, newsletter)
• Have the ability to take time off / work remotely during the project period
• Hold a passport valid for at least 6 months

How We’ll Choose the Winner

We will look for someone who:

• Has a clear “why.” A genuine desire for change, adventure, or reinvention
• Shows vulnerability. We want to hear your story!
• Shows commitment to embarking on this digital nomad journey
• Has a story that resonates. Something others can see themselves in
• Has curiosity. People who think deeply about life, who question norms

We’re not picking the person with the most likes or the prettiest video.

We’re picking the one whose story moves us, and the one we can genuinely help take their next step.
