Within the Medical Staff Services unit, the Medical Staff Services Department Director will guide a high-performing Medical Staff Office (MSO) that excels in credentialing and privileging, provider onboarding and enrollment, bylaws and governance support, OPPE/FPPE, peer review, committee management, and continuous survey-readiness; this MedStaff Director will elevate operations through data-driven turnaround times, meticulous primary-source verification, agenda and minutes management for MEC and Credentials Committee, and policy modernization aligned with The Joint Commission and CMS standards, all while drawing strength from an Award Winning Community Health Center culture, leveraging new technology for automation and dashboards, and partnering closely with a full RN staff embedded across service lines for seamless, clinician-friendly workflows.
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and partnering with Quality, Compliance, Legal, and Nursing Leadership, the Medical Staff Services Department Director will lead credentialing coordinators and analysts, manage budgets and vendor relationships, standardize privilege delineations and EHR build governance, steward medical staff bylaws and policy updates, coordinate department chair and committee support, oversee peer review and focused evaluations, and drive accreditation readiness; as MedStaff Director, expect strong cross-functional support from friendly nurses, physician champions, advanced practice providers, and a diverse healthcare professional team that values mutual respect, transparency, and shared success in a fast-paced acute care environment.
