Security Specialist

KBR is seeking a Security Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA. An active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position. Why Join Us? - Enforcing and monitoring security procedures
- Ensures compliance with all aspects of the government and company security policies and procedures related to: physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, packages, documentation and debriefings.
- May conduct security briefings and maintain security education programs
- Investigates losses and security violations; may recommend corrective action.
- Maintains liaison with outside agencies and keeps upper management informed of all security activities.
- Assists in revision of procedures manuals.
- Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
- Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
Travel Requirements : Minimal
Working Hours: Standard Required Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. 6 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Able to apply technical expertise, and may have knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Work is performed under limited direction.
- Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
- Completed work may be reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results.
- No formal supervisory responsibility.
