KBR is seeking a Security Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA. An active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforcing and monitoring security procedures
• Ensures compliance with all aspects of the government and company security policies and procedures related to: physical access to buildings, room, couriers, clearances, packages, documentation and debriefings.
• May conduct security briefings and maintain security education programs
• Investigates losses and security violations; may recommend corrective action.
• Maintains liaison with outside agencies and keeps upper management informed of all security activities.
• Assists in revision of procedures manuals.
• Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policies.
• Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. 6 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
• Able to apply technical expertise, and may have knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Work is performed under limited direction.
• Exercises latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
• Completed work may be reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results.
• No formal supervisory responsibility.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $100 -125k

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
