Duties: Under supervision of the Project Geology Section Managers, the successful candidate will assist and respond to the needs of 32 geologists. The candidate will prepare letters, memoranda, reports, and other documents; organize and file geology reports and drawings; set up meetings; make travel arrangements; order office supplies and equipment; update and maintain various spreadsheets; route documents for signature in DocuSign; coordinate staff training; and prepare appraisal and development packages for staff. Incumbent must be able to establish a good working relationship with a diverse group of individuals and work independently without direct and constant supervision. The incumbent will be the timekeeper for the Section.

This is a Permanent-Intermittent position with a maximum of 1,500 hours of work per calendar year. This position is strictly in-office and is not authorized for telework.

We are seeking a candidate with the ability to perform the following duties with minimal direction: exercises a high degree of initiative, independence, confidentiality, strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; maintains high degree of attention to detail and excellent customer service and communication skills; exemplifies ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments involving various other staff and team members; displays mature judgement, tact, and discretion in all matters and is a team player; ability to handle telephone calls professionally and with good judgement; is punctual, reliable, and dependable; exercises good judgement, is innovative and works well under pressure to meet deadlines, and is a self-starter. Candidate should also have knowledge and experience using various Microsoft software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and experience with DocuSign, MS Teams, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience using SAP or a similar database or information maintenance system is preferred.
