Controller – Commercial Subcontractor (Construction)

We’re seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing commercial subcontractor construction company. With approximately $50M in annual revenue and multiple recent acquisitions, the company is entering a major growth phase and needs a strong financial leader to help build scalable processes and ensure accurate, GAAP?compliant reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations (AP/AR, payroll, GL, job costing).
- Manage month?end close, financial reporting, and WIP schedules.
- Ensure GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls.
- Support integration of recently acquired entities.
- Utilize Foundation accounting software for construction?specific workflows.
- Partner with leadership and project teams to support financial transparency and profitability.
Requirements
- Construction industry experience R equired (commercial subcontractor preferred).
- Strong GAAP knowledge and hands?on accounting management.
- Experience in small to mid?sized, fast?growing companies.
- Proficiency with Foundation or similar construction accounting systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
