Lead Rotations Coordinator Location Pomona, CA : Provides support to the Clinical Education Department in the Office of Academic Affairs in the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. Assists the Senior Manager, Associate Director and Associate Dean of Clinical Education by ensuring that OMSIII/IV meet all graduation requirements. Maintains contact with sites, provides information to and receives feedback from students, sites, preceptors and faculty. Provides direction and training for Rotation Coordinators. Assumes managerial role in absence of the Senior Manager, and/or Associate Director and/ or Associate Dean of the Clinical Education department. Assists OMSIII and/or OMSIV with scheduling of clinical and virtual rotations with COMP's clinical preceptors and/or rotation sites and ensuring that OMSIII and/or OMS IV have met all site eligibility and prerequisite requirements. Including the tracking and schedule maintenance of off-track students to ensure they are meeting all graduation requirements. Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duties 2. Advises, counsels and assists OMSIII and/or OMSIV in selecting and securing rotations at clinical rotation sites. Following up with OMSIII and/or OMSIV regarding rotation status. Ensures student compliance with the policies and procedures according to the COMP Clinical Education Manual. Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duties 3. Ensures all OMSIII and/or OMSIV rotations are confirmed. Provides all information necessary to commence and complete the rotation; including the location, clearance/on-boarding requirements, site applications and orientation procedures for each site. Percentage Of Time 15 Job Duties 4. Assists the department with urgent issues, including all student matters that are of an emergent nature. Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duties 5. Assists department administration with preparation and organization of department events, such as: Introduction to Clinical Education, Preview Day and Didactic/Conference weeks. Assists department administration with tracking and following up on outstanding/delinquent evaluations from hospitals and preceptors and ensuring that evaluations for both OMSIII/IV are received in a timely manner. Percentage Of Time 10 Job Duties 7. Assists with training new hires, and reviews and updates the Rotations Coordinator Handbook/Manual annually. Percentage Of Time 5 Job Duties 8. Maintains continual training for all rotations coordinators on all application services to provide support for OMSIII and/or OMSIV for online application services including but not limited to: VSAS/VLSO, ClinicianNexus, MyClinicalExchange. Percentage Of Time 5 Job Duties 9. Serves as liaison between faculty, preceptors and students on a range of academic, administrative and/or personal issues as required. Gives prompt feedback to department administration reporting successes and problems regarding scheduling, sites, and other student issues. Percentage Of Time 5 Job Duties 10.
