About the Role
An established civil design and land services group with decades of regional experience is seeking a Lead Land Surveyor to guide and grow its survey department. This is a key leadership opportunity for someone ready to combine technical expertise, team development, and strategic growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead and inspire a talented team of survey professionals.
- Oversee high-quality data collection, mapping, and reporting.
- Drive department growth through strategy and business development.
- Collaborate with internal engineering staff to deliver successful projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Mentor and support the development of junior team members.
What You Bring
- Leadership background in land surveying with a proven track record of results.
- Expertise in modern surveying tools (GPS, total stations, and related technology).
- Strong knowledge of California land use regulations and codes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- PLS license in California preferred or has LSIT with the intent of getting PLS
- Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for growth.
