Software Engineer, Platform

About the role

As a Platform Engineer at Greenlite, you'll build core infrastructure and services that power AI agents helping banks and fintechs fight financial crime at massive scale. You'll work directly with our biggest customers—institutions serving over a billion people—creating scalable, reusable systems that enable rapid development across our product suite. Your infrastructure work is informed by real customer needs and ships to everyone, so you need to build reliable systems, work effectively with engineering and product teams, understand enterprise security requirements, and adapt quickly.

You're an exceptional platform engineer who understands that financial institutions need rock-solid infrastructure when deploying AI for compliance workflows. You'll focus on creating regulated platforms for AI agents, scaling alongside rapid growth, and laying the foundation of trust that financial institutions require. You're not just building infrastructure—you're architecting systems based on what our most sophisticated customers actually need for security, reliability, and performance.

Please Note: We work in-person Monday through Friday in our SF office.

What you'll do

Month 1:

• Master our AI agent platform and understand complex compliance infrastructure requirements

• Shadow experienced engineers on customer deployments and system architecture decisions

• Build your first scalable services that support AI agent development

Month 2:

• Own end-to-end infrastructure for major bank and fintech deployments

• Build and deploy systems that scale across our rapidly growing customer base

• Partner with AI and product teams to turn infrastructure insights into platform improvements

• Become a go-to expert for regulated AI infrastructure

Ongoing:

• Build production infrastructure that deploys AI agents in highly regulated environments

• Architect scalable, secure systems that connect our platform with enterprise customer environments

• Create reusable platform services that enable rapid development across our product suite

• Collaborate with Engineering, Deployment, and Customer teams as the infrastructure expert

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with focus on backend/infrastructure

• Strong expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and system architecture

• Experience building secure, scalable systems for enterprise environments

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal direction

• Excellent communication skills, especially for explaining technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with and excitement around building infrastructure that directly impacts customer success

• Comfortable in fast-paced environments with lots of iteration

Bonus points:

• Experience with AI/ML systems deployment and infrastructure

• Previous experience at startups scaling infrastructure for rapid growth

• Background in fintech or building systems for highly regulated industries

• Experience with enterprise security and compliance requirements

Compensation & Benefits
