Job Description
The Lead Baker works alongside the Wholesale Production Manager to produce Reem's signature mana'eesh, pastries, and Arabic breads for our café, wholesale, and catering programs. This is a hands-on production role for an experienced baker who is passionate about quality, consistency, and craftsmanship while helping maintain an organized and efficient bakery.
As our production grows, this position offers a pathway into greater leadership responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is excited to grow with the company and help build the foundation of our expanding wholesale bakery.
Job Details
Part-time (expected to grow into full time | Reports to Wholesale Production Manager
Early mornings, weekends, and some holidays required as needed
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare mana'eesh, pastries, and Arabic breads according to Reem's recipes and quality standards
- Maintain production pars and support daily wholesale, café, and catering production
- Help coordinate daily baking priorities with the Wholesale Production Manager
- Package wholesale products accurately according to SOPs
- Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient, equipment, or maintenance needs proactively
- Support the training and onboarding of new bakery team members as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery, including equipment, workstations, dishwashing, and end-of-day breakdown
- Uphold food safety, kitchen sanitation, and Reem's Core Values at all times
Ideal Candidate:
- Has professional bakery or bread production experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Is highly organized, efficient, and attentive to detail
- Learns quickly and enjoys continuous improvement
- Takes initiative and works well independently while supporting the team
- Is interested in growing into future leadership opportunities
- Bilingual in Spanish or Spanish comprehension is a plus
- Holds (or is able to obtain) a Food Handler or Food Manager Certification
- Adheres to Reem’s core values
- Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and complete repetitive tasks
