Vehicle Technician

We're seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to take charge of maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse fleet of vehicles. In this role, you’ll perform everything from scheduled services to in-depth electrical troubleshooting, contributing directly to our shop’s day-to-day success.
What You’ll Do:
- Carry out scheduled/preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles
- Perform high-quality inspections and repairs, documenting all work in our service platform
- Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend safety or reliability upgrades
- Travel locally as needed to maintain, diagnose, and approve vehicles for road readiness
- Act as a final QC check for completed work to ensure top-tier performance and safety
- Support parts and tool inventory organization and upkeep of shop facilities
- Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently, using proper PPE and following OSHA standards
- Stay up-to-date and compliant with all relevant safety and environmental regulations
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of hands-on technician experience
- Deep knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods, tools, and materials
- Advanced experience in automotive electrical systems, ADAS, CAN systems, and data diagnostics
- Clean driving record with the ability to safely tow and transport fleet vehicles
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Strong communicator with solid documentation and reporting habits
- Reliable, self-motivated, and collaborative team player
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical trade school or associate degree in Automotive Repair
- ASE certification and/or OEM/manufacturer certifications
- Experience in R&D or engineering test labs (e.g., Dyno, battery, autonomous testing)
- Proficiency with Linux-based systems and diagnostic tools
- Advanced knowledge of:
- HV systems and hybrid drivetrains
- CAN/LIN network troubleshooting
- HVAC, suspension, and chassis systems
- Self-driving sensors and embedded module diagnostics
- Experience reading wiring diagrams, soldering, and vehicle trailer transport
- Willingness to travel nationally on occasion for specialized assignments
